Small & lightweight EDC? (BM 530 or Dragonfly?)

I have a fun choice of edc myself they are always about the same size. If I'm not carrying a peanut, then its going to be a trapper. For moderns I am currently crushing on my benchmade 527 mini presidio and the skyline. I have to pick up another delica or a caly 3 which is essentially a ukpk. All about the same size as one another.

I tried to pick up a zt 566 recently and I couldn't do it as it was too big. I love big knives but i just can't carry one.

I'd quit worrying about what other people think. Most people wouldn't even notice that the 530 has a spear point - or know what a spear point is. Just don't take your knife out and wave it randomly in the air around people you don't know.

I own the BM 530 and I love it. Although it's in the drawer with all the other retired folders it did have a great period of carry. Especially because it's so light. I also like the spear point an feel that although the knife is slim it could still be used as a good SD blade. If you're really not into scaring people get the micro recon one or if you're lucky you could find the great looking but discontinued CRKT Ashworth Turtle, that one's just adorable!

One thing that surprised me about my 530 (black serrated) is even though it is so thin, it has NO blade play.

I carry mine on my bicycle training rides now. Don't even know it is there, but if I need it, I have it.

Let me just add to this thread that for me the biggest DOWN SIDE to the 530's slim profile and weight is that on several occasions I lost it and found it when I was doing laundry still in my work pants. Luckily I've always found it right before I wash my clothes otherwise if have a lot of clothes with holes in them!
