Can anyone recommend a small/midsize spear-point folder design similar to the Benchmade 531 Pardue?

I’m open to any recommendations in regard to prices, materials, availability, etc. etc.. As long as the overall handle/blade profile is similar to the 531. Pic examples are much appreciated! ;)

Preferred Specs:
  • Blade Length: Anywhere Between 3”- 4”
  • Blade Steel: Ultra-Premium Stainless Steels
  • Scale Material: Open to Anything
  • Locking Mechanism: Open to Anything

I’m a huge fan of the 531 Pardue. I love that BM used a modified drop-point blade while keeping the spear-point profile of the 530. They basically beefed up the blade with a thicker spine and swedge, while giving it a larger belly for slicing over the 530’s dagger profile.

I guess I’m curious to see what’s out there (non-Benchmade).

Thanks!

Here’s some of my fav’s:

The BM 531 is about as slim as they get so you asking alot out of a simple question lol. I would look in to a Southard Avo, Benchmade 908/903 Full/Mini axis Stryker or Cold Steels Code 4 in XHP.

Cold Steel Ti Lite is 4" of XHP too.
Lionsteel Daghetta or Big Opera.
Hogue EX02 has a spear point.
Emerson A100 and CQC-7AW

The Skyline has a great spear point blade in a thin, pocket friendly package. Blade HQ has a few more "premium" Skylines available in S30V and CF, very similar in price to the BM530/1. They've also got some models with Flytanium scales. Great little knives.

I can only think of a couple off the top of my head that are as thin as the 530...the 350, which has a weak looking liner lock, and the sentinel, dark star, blue star. Those aren't quite as thin, but still in the ballpark. The only other one I can think of is the Sog SlimJim, but the one I have is tanto, not sure of they make a spear point. It's not comfortable at all, and a bit flimsy, so I wouldn't recommend it anyway.

It's the 0801. It's wider than your average spear point, but I do remember a reviewer call it's blade shape a modified spear point. Have another look and you tell me... Maybe it's more dagger like than spear point?

Oh, I totally agree with you but I just feel like I remember reading or hearing it was marketed as a wharny. I could be wrong.

Viper Start with a 4" blade of N690 or Damascus. Thinner folder with lock back mechanism. You can CF, wood and micarta handle materials.

Burke Knives Hitman Stubby. 3.25" S35VN. Titanium frame lock. There are also Monkey Edge and TAD Gear versions.

MicroTech DOC flipper.
