I made these up for these reasons-- I had never done a Model IX in a wood and I have had this wood just sitting there waiting for the right blade. As for the paper Micarta, I've been doing quite a few IX's in bone with some satisfaction, most of the time and I remember all my days doing the paper Micarta and how it felt and looked like bone without the 'surprises'. They are light as a feather and slick as a whale's belly.
These are so fresh I haven't made up the sheaths, but they will be the little leather ones with the versatile metal clip on the back. I know black would be best for the black paper, but I think a black sheath would look good on the wood, too because of the black vein in the wood. Yall gimme some input on that, if you wouldn't mind.
Anyway, thanks to BF members, I have been extremely busy as you can see by my serial numbers. Yall keep throwing ideas my way and I'll keep throwing knives your way...you know what I mean.
