Small Pocket Knife

spyderco blackhawk for me(wish they would bring these back). love the size, the weight, pretty much everything abt it.

Chris Reeve small Sebenza or Mnandi. You just can't beat his manufacturing standards or his designs.

Mini-Grip- Axis lock, great blade and handle shape, great ratio of cutting edge to size, feels good in my hand or pocket, holds an edge well and easy to sharpen. I keep buying knives, but none so far can take it's place in my pocket.

Surprised no one has mentioned William Henry. I have 2" and 3.25" blade 'Attache' models. I carry the 2" one almost always as my 'sheeple' knife. ZDP blade still amazes me. Weight is 1.1 oz.

I also have an older ti-carbon model with pocket clip, liner lock, and 3.25" DLC-ed 154CM blade. I always carry that when jogging. Weight is 1.46 oz., and for some reason it even looks a lot smaller than it really is.

WH now offers the beautiful 'wave damascus' laminated w/ zdp, and now has a few models with pocket clips (they have largely gone to a 'clip-case'). I have drooled over the thought of getting one of these for jogging, but it's tough to justify $575 just to get the features of 2 knives that I already have combined into one, just to get a prettier blade. Plus I prefer liner locks, and WH no longer does them, so it would not be perfect anyway. Still....

My answer is going to sound all backwards. The small pocket knives I have are not really expensive, not over $50, yet they do the vast bulk of the work I need a knife to do. My large knives that I carry are where my money is spent, yet they do very little of the daily chores. Of course my daily chores don't really need anything but a small knife but I really like to carry as large a knife as I can get away with. With that said, my small pocket knives consist of a few Case knives, a barlow, a gunstock, and a medium stockman. My newest small knife is one that I've read a lot about but had never pulled the trigger on, a Boker Wharcom. Only had it for a couple days now, but so far it seems to be ideal for my needs.:thumbup::D

The A G Russell Featherlite if you dont want a clip. The Fallkniven U2 is also real nice. The Mini Ritter Grip if you want a clip with S30V steel. GOOD LUCK! Kevin ( I love the Benchmade 940 but it has a little longer blade)
