Small Pry Tools

Atwood makes some cool stuff but that line is basically for collectors and people with one hell of a lot of disposable income.

that would be fine

I currently use a CC mini pry bar but also looked at getting a Gerber Shard

I own an Atwood Ti Flat Gasbaby. Them Atwoods are damn expensive, and probably not really in line with RAT's philosophy of no-nonsense tools. However, I'm pretty sure that they work very well, and I have never heard of an Atwood tool breaking. Okay, maybe once.

And I got that Gasbaby for a song, hard for me not to pull the trigger.

Gerber artifact $8 -$10 constructed of stainless steel w/titanium nitride coating , made in China though , won't brake the bank

... i have one and its kinda useful , but its a pain to use honestly... i like the one i got from county comm much better

Gerber is coming out with a better version of the Artifact (sans blade) this year I believe. :)

I like and always carry my Atwood Prybaby. It's the best prying too I know. This particular model isn't too expensive, so that would be a good choice.
I got it for free though, which is even more awesome

Iv'e used these for about 8yrs the bars cost $2.97 ea, had 4 lost one. I found the small prybars have more uses then the cat claw.

Those articles the pics are from are circa 1960s. Church Keys were a whole lot stronger back then. Now your common Church Key is made in China and it's very, very soft metal. Back in the 60s the market was also flooded with a lot of cheap handcuffs from Spain and Japan and police actually used them in this country, too. There is a lot of good old handcuff info available. :)

I went to get me a gerber artifact today, but Target was out. The new one that came out with, the shard, looks pretty cool. and handy. alot of ppl on the EDC forum have been able to find them, but from what i hear, they are almost as rare as the Atwood tools.

I have noticed quite a few of you include a CountyComm Widgy in your EDC. There is another nice little pry tool that is a miniature of the Wonder Bar and if any one has used a Wonder bar, that bent and c shaped end is a great pry-bar for tight places with no room for leverage.
I was at Sears browsing the tool dept and spotted this little Craftsman jewel it was only five bucks.
I ended up having to use it already, on my way home from Sears my battery died! I took the Leatherman out and loosened the nuts but one of the post clamps would loosen but would not come off the post, out came the new pry-bar with the wonder bar end and it popped it right off! Picked up a battery at Wally World and was on the road again.
I think I'm going to like this little pry-bar.

Not sure how I missed this thread. I have one of these little prybars. Great little tool.
