Considering I already have the Mini Adamas and I'm not thinking of getting rid of it, what do you guys think would be the ideal, secondary, edc friendlier knife?
Between the Small 31 and the 945, which one would you choose?

by the way I'm selling the 945-2, and if I decide to pick the osborne, I'd definitely go with the new 945-3 👇

They are two completely different knives so it's hard to compare them. If you want fidget factor the Benchmade ... everything else ... Sebenza all the way.
Fidget factor for sure, but I think the osborne has a stronger blade tip than the seb because it's a reverse tanto. it's easier to sharpen than a regular tanto too..

For me it's a matter of price and the dedicated disinterest of a titanium framelock
And a bit of bad customer service experience with CRK
titanium framelock is a matter of opinion,
for a one and done knife I think it's one of the best mechanisms.

I also would like to hear about the bad CS.
Not really trying to hijack a thread but ok --- over a year and a half ago I went on a waiting list for two crk fixed blades, I was quoted 625 but not charged until item was ready to ship, later I got another email saying due to materials cost the original quote may be changed to a higher cost, which I was okay with, I waited so long on that waiting list my order print out was starting to fade. After a year I emailed them about an estimated eta for the order, provided the order number and date or order, no response ever came, I waited a few more months then emailed again, no response, I then decided to try to look up the item via the order number and couldn't find it. It was around then I decided that they must have just deleted my order with no intention of making it or even bothering to email me regarding the cancelation. A complete ghosting if you will. That's all I needed to form an opinion of the company's CS. It's possible that they had so many orders they were forever swamped, but a little communication goes a long way.
To this day never received an email. That's one of the reasons why I prefer the Osborne.

okay let me get this clear, you went on a waiting list for two fixed blades, for two years, and got no response other than there would be a price increase is that right? correct me if I'm wrong but I think the wait time is now close to 4 years.. either way they should email you back 😏

I’m a big fan of both models, my 940 was the knife that got me into nicer knives. The 940 is easier to deploy and retract with one hand in my opinion but I almost always end up with lateral blade play on my 940 compared to ZERO blade play with my CRKs. CRK will last longer from my experience and can be used for harder tasks bc of the solid lockup.

Little blade play is not a big deal for me. The only thing with benchmade is the omega springs might break sooner or later, no prob with a crk on that regard.

As a crk lover and owner of 4 small sebs i would actually get the 945… i love that knife and have previously owned a couple but no longer have one because I cant justify keeping more than I will carry anymore and the sebs seem more reasonable to keep because they were more expensive… but if i had no knives and needed to start fresh i think i would get the 945… weird eh…

4 sebenzas 🥲 do you have other knives?more specifically fidget knives?

So your carrying the Adamas and a second knife? I'd pick the 945. One so the locks the same, just no thinkin about it. Second so the blade shapes meaningfully different and useful for different tasks. The sebenzas blade is swept up alot in the front just like the adamas

I have the 945 and I don't carry it much. The fidget factor gave me a good slice on my palm because the blade is a bit short for my hand, so the tip can hit the meaty part of my palm.

The 940 doesn't have this issue and I haven't had the problem with the drop point on the bugout.

It is much more substantial than the bugout, but I would go with something else rather than the mini Osborne

I forgot to mention I also own the bugout. if the sebbie was a tanto then I'd have more variety in terms of blade shapes

considered buying a tanto seb, out of stock everywhere. I had a small inkosi tanto but it was too small.
