Small sebenza 21 or strider pt?

For light EDC the Sebenza all the way. Longer cutting edge (2.9 vs 2.75), smaller when folded, classier, carries better.

I'll be the dissenting voice...

I've never been charmed in any way by the Sebenza knives, I'd rather have the Strider PT.

If you can find a PT, get it. Sebenzas are easy to find unless you are looking for a specific graphic. If you find you don't like it you will have no problem selling it and probably not loose too much if anything.

Both are in my small / office knife rotation and I really enjoy both. The Sebenza is probably a better slicer but the PT is just cooler :)

I would rather my knife be made from pure titanium than titanium and plastic.. sebenza is a stronger design and lockup, the pt just has a stronger blade but that flimsy g10 scale will pop right off under any hard use

This is just wrong. Ignore this.

Small sebenza, it's not as threating as a PT in a office environment. I get more comments from non knife folks with any Strider I am using and hardly none with the sebenza, large or small.

The only PT I have owned had 95% lockup that wiggled in all directions and the blade was too thick to really be considered a slicer. Very cool design and comfortable in hand, but the blade play and non-sliceyness of it soured me on it. I can't say I wouldn't try another. However, I have several Sebenzas so it wouldn't be an OR situation, it would be an AND situation for me..

If I'm going to carry a more threatening or tactical looking knife that might get more notice, I'd rather just carry a larger, more comfortable one and get it over with. That being said, I'd be much more comfortable carrying a small Sebenza to a formal occasion or a fancy restaurant than anything Strider. If you just DGAF, then carry either. I'm sure either will cut fine for what you'd normally use a sub 3" blade for.

First of all, don't underestimate the strength of G10. It is a remarkably lightweight and strong material. I dare to do more to my Strider SnG than any CRK that I've ever own including Zaan and 25.

If you don't need bomb proof strength and more cutting edge then go with a Small Insingo for edc. Although, I do find that being able to do a little bit of prying is not a bad thing.

What are you prying with your folder that an umnumzaan or 25 can't handle? Specifically an insingo or tanto?

This is a matter of personal preference.
Best advise is try to handle them and then deceide.
While I love the small Sebenza for EDC I understand that it's not everybody's cup of tea.
Since we are here on bladeforums --> get both and tell us about your experience.

Get the Wilson Combat Starbenza.

+1 I just got mine yesterday from knife art and they are already sold out! It's getting hard to find I don't know who else sells them besides wilson combat themselves but they are out of stock also:(
