Was actually trying to avoid buying both. At least that was the planSmall Sebenza without the clip and in the sheath, is pretty hard to beat.
I own both, I have owned my Umnumzaan longer than my smol 31 but yet the 31 has more pocket time hands down.
At the end of the day two very different knives.
Buy them both.
Don't fight it... its going to happen. Was actually trying to avoid buying both. At least that was the plan
Damn CRK rabbit holeDon't fight it... its going to happen.
No offense taken. No offense meant and it sounds almost as if you have made up your mind; but you really couldn't have picked two totally different CRK's. The small 21 is really small - or at least to me. I have one, never carry it and it is a unique graphic (Join or Die) that will be passed on to my son. The Zaan while similar in size to the large 21 feels like a larger knife.
I would go 21 now, as the Zaan is still in production. You just have to figure out if you want a small or large.
How do you like the ergos? The “U” is a pretty big folding knife. With glass-breaker!
How do you like the ergoes on the Zaan? Any hot spots? No offense meant and it sounds almost as if you have made up your mind; but you really couldn't have picked two totally different CRK's. LoL so it looksIf I read your OP correct, you already have 2 small Inkosi.
Yes, the Small 21 is different, but you have the small knife genre well covered.
Time to go large. ‘Zaan ftw!

Thank you. Appreciate the insight. Guess I would have to get my hands on it and see if we get along well.I really like the ergos on the Zaan, no hot spots per se; but the way the lockbar is configured is radically different from the Sebs and that can take some getting used to.
The only other thing to note is that the Zaan has a bit of a different method for opening; it's more of a straight up on the thumbstud as opposed to the "out and up" of the Sebenza. I purchased mine second hand, it is incredibly smooth, so I didn't have the break in time that some report having.
Good point.I vote for the Umnumzaan as well. I never warmed up to the 21. I don’t like the pivot bushing, if it’s not perfect there will be issues. I prefer the feel of the Zaan in my hand and it has a few less parts. They still make the zaan so when they come out with MagnaCut blades you can get your Umnumzaan fitted with one.
It is larger but only marginally. Although that slight difference might seal the deal for some.I’ve never loved the look of the Umnumzaan personally. Love the 21’s tho. FYI the small 21 is slightly larger than the small inkosi in a good way IMO.

No offense taken.
Not sure my mind is made up.
Have two small Inkosi. One for me and the other one is set aside for my son.
Was actually deliberating if the second knife should be a small 21 but went with another Inkosi with a different blade shape.
Was pretty sure it was the last knife purchase but just a week later decided to get my hands on another CRK. Maybe even a large.
Large Sebenza 21 are all sold out at this point, at least through authorized dealers.
31 had some early teething issues so turned my attention to Umnumzan.
Thank you for the input.I have a small Sebenza and an Umnamzaan. I carry the Umnamzaan in a sheath as it is a bit much in a pocket. The Umnamzaan is an amazing knife. Simple construction and heavy duty. I carry the small Sebenza more, but when a sheath is appropriate I love carrying the Umnamzaan.
