small sebenza 21 question

i have a brand new small sebenza 21 in s35vn. my question is will the lanyard ring just fall out if i take the lanyard off? thanks in advance

The lanyard pin on my Small Sebenza 21 is stepped, so it does not fall out. The pins on the Large Seb and Umnum are straight, and do fall out.

Did this change with the new Small Sebenzas?

For the Small Sebenza you must dissasemble the knife in order to remove the lanyard pin, the Large Sebenzas pin just falls out.

Ok thanks. I'm taking this lanyard off and wanted the pin to stay in good to know it does.

Like you've already heard, you have to take the knife apart to get the pin out. But, my pin rattled when it didn't have a lanyard in it, so I had to take mine out.

It won't fall out in the small but will fall out in the large.

It will stay in,but it does rattle a little without the lanyard attached.I removed my lanyard but ended up redoing everything back to the way it was because the rattling was bugging me. Given my time back,I would have just removed the scale and taken the lanyard and pin as a complete unit and lived with the hole in the handle.It's just a standard hangmans noose....but it's a bugger to retie just right.

I'd like to change my lanyard completely on one of large 21's. Can I just thread some black paracord through the holes and around the handle slabs. I want a longer softer piece with a ti Atwood bead. Or. does it have to come out from in between the slabs?
