Below is the original thread. I did buy a small sebenza. :)

I don't know why I'm even posting this because you guys are just going to try to talk me into it...

I carry a large 21 daily but at the office its too big for non-knife people. I've been carrying a traditional at the office but miss having the Sebenza in my pocket. The large is def. the Sebenza for me but I'm thinking about getting a small to carry while in the office.

You can post pics of your small in the office if you'd like. It's whatever... :D

I have had the same thought on my mind, not so much the office part but the small Sebenza part!

What are you thinking of getting? I have my choices narrowed down to a small StarBenza, small micarta Insingo, or small plain Insingo. I have had them all at one time or another now just trying to decide which one to buy again.

Small plain 21 clip or insingo. :)

I carry a small Damascus celtic Sebenza no problem on my slacks. Both with the knife clipped to my pocket and in a leather slip case.

I prefer my small cf 21 insingo in the office over my Mnandi even. I don't have anything larger at the moment so it's not too say I wouldn't prefer bigger :)

I'm kicking my self for letting a Small 21 Snakewood go a few months ago. With a clip insert in place of the clip, it was a great pocket drop with enough visual character to be interesting to non-knife folks. I really need to fill that hole in my rotation.

Don't do it.

I'm probably going to be the only one that suggests not to buy a small. If you buy the small, you're going to end up selling either it or the Large, and then eventually maybe both, and this whole "finding the CRK for me" journey is going to begin again. You've had 2 smalls (or was it 3?) before and you sold them. You didn't sell them to get different smalls, you sold them because they were too small for you. Initially yes, you sold them to try a different blade, but in the end you sold them because they were too small. Nothing wrong with buying and selling lots of knives, I've done it too, but you did it out of trying to find the right knife which you've finally done, so why add one into the mix that you've had and sold because you felt it wasn't "for you?" You can't seem to figure out what it is you want in a CRK and I don't think acquiring the small is going to change that for you. Keep that traditional on you at the office and when you come home to your Large Sebenza you might actually be able to stay in love with it is this time.

You're quite the critic. :)

Yes, I have bought and sold a lot of knives and CRK's in a short time trying to find what I want or like. The small is too small for it to be my only knife and CRK but paired with the large I think it would work well.

Honestly, you're just being sensitive, I'm not saying that its wrong to buy and sell in search of what you like, I'm saying this could potentially restart your whole journey. It's not a critique of you at all it's a presentation of facts that show why this might be a pointless purchase for you that you don't actually enjoy that much. Do what you want but please, don't get upset when someone tries to advise you against something that you asked about in the first place. The last thing you posted in relation to your Sebenza was

There's nothing wrong with owning more than one CRK but I am trying to be more content in 2015 and be happy with what I have. I'm carrying a plain jane Sebenza 21 and I really am enjoying that knife.

So no, I'm absolutely not being critical, I'm presenting your stance on ownership as you have presented it. Sorry I'm not uselessly prodding you into a knife that contradicts your goal of being content...If you wan't me to sell you on a small Sebenza just ask, I have no shortage of images.

I was just picking at you...

I still stand behind what I've said; I am really enjoying the large 21 as my EDC. Everytime I use it I can't help but marvel at what a great piece it is. With that being said I would like to have that feeling while i'm at the office. The large 21 is just too big for the office setting here or I would gladly carry it!

Small cf Insingo is part of my rotation. Here it is at the office:

If you want an office friendly CRK, the small Insingo can't be ignored!

Small Sebenza or Mnandi for the office would be perfect. The large Sebenza is what I prefer but is not exactly Sheople friendly.

I totally get why people prefer the larger models but the small 21 is the "right" option for so many occasions around others nowadays, so that you can actually "use" it without reactions.

I really like both the large and small. There is no denying that the large feels like the perfect knife in hand, but the small is a very good people friendly knife for places like an office setting, or in states where knife laws might not allow anything larger. The small also feels great in hand, and I notice it less in my pocket than I do the large. I mostly carry a small when going out in public for the above reasons. If I were you I'd get a KA small CF 21, or a TN small 21 Tanto with or without micarta inlays.

Carry the large, use it often. People will get used to it and there will be no further problems.

No worries - but I would say that anyone that thinks the large is "too big" for office use is going to look at the small as a big knife too - Most people's idea of a good size is the Victorinox Classic.

I say they mind their own business, and I mind mine.

I can appreciate not wanting to draw attention to yourself. I think every CR aficionado should have at least one Mnandi, perfect office friendly knife.

I very well may be the only one who thinks of the small Sebenza like this, but I have always looked on it like a framelock traditional. I think they are perfect for the workplace(just don't be too flashy on the opening-slow and steady). I think any small would work, but wood , mammoth bark CGG or UG would blend in even better .
