so, i think i'm about to pull the trigger in a Chris Reeve sebenza:D, i just thought i'd ask which one should i get. the large or the small sebenza, the large is 55bucks more than the small. also, would it be worth it to get the double thumb studs($35 more)i dont really need them but when your spending over 300 damn dollars for a knife, why not?;). This will be my first Chris Reeve knife btw... & i dont think it matters but what what would you recomend for a first CRK??????????????

which ever one you think you will carry more, for me i got the small first.

either way it doesnt matter because you will eventually get both :D

They are not close in size, so whatever size knife you want would be the one.

I do wish there was a Sebbie in the middle with a 3.25" blade, but that will never happen.

BTW- I carry my small the most, but thats just me.

I have both the large and small classic. The small sees all the pocket time. It seems to do whatever needs to be done.

If you are going to spend that much money I would just get the large, why not?

As for crkt I would go with the hissatsu folder.

bought the small in aug and large in sept....took me 14 years to spend so much on a knife since i was not convinced it would make a difference. once crk...always crk...now looking for a mnandi!

At my office I will probably carry the small the most, and to tell the truth the small fits the hands just fine, actually it feels excellent.I didn't think it would. If you are not going to be pulling the knife out in front of sheeple a lot, then the large should work just fine. I love them both. Don't worry about how they fit your hand, because they both fit the hand solid.

But I tend to go bigger on everything I own:rolleyes: I have no trouble EDC my large sebbie I actually like knowing it's in my pocket so I don't forget it somewhere.

I'd go with the large first, but I really like the small as well. Single thumb stud for me.

This tread needs pics!!!

I hope the last pic will help to make up your mind for your first sebenza :D

I have relatively smallish/medium sized hands and the small fits perfectly in my hand. At the same time the large also fits perfectly in my hand as well so you really cant go wrong with either. The exception might be with the small sebbie if you have big chunky hands and in that case you might be using a 3 finger grip with your pinky sort of hanging off at the end. I believe Cutlerylover has a youtube video pionting this out. IMO you cant lose with whatever choice you go with but I think the large is the way to go because you get alot more knife for $50 and as the saying goes, a bigger knife can do what a small knife can but a small knife cant do what a big knife can.

I have both. I had the large first, then picked up a small...then another large.

The small gets very little pocket time. The large is about perfect sized, for me.

Really, either one of them is plenty of knife for most everyday tasks.

It is true, I am sitting here going back and forth between the two, and they both feel really great. I carry the large more on the weekends and after work. But if I pull the large out at work I can gaurantee that the people there will not like it. The small sebenza though does not draw attention. I actually didn't think I would like the small sebenza cause it would be too small, but on the contrary, I love the little thing. If you can carry the large in your work enviroment without drawing attention to yourself I say go for it.

But just like everyone on here has done at one point or another, you will purchase the small too, just because the large is so good you want to see what the small is like.

I'm a bigger guy ( 6' 2") and find the large to be perfect for me. I was kind of in the same boat a one point when I was considering a seb. When I was ready, i did a bit more video watching and just from my personal preference of knives, went for the large. I like a blade around 4 inch:).
