Small Sebenza vs. Military

I have the regular milli in s30v and I can't imagin ever needing a better knife. Im sure neither would fail you.

The best advice I can think of is to suggest the OP handle both knives, if possible. The two knives have totally different feels. Just as an example, I have small hands, and despite what folks say, the Military is absolutely gargantuan to me, not withstanding its other steller qualities. Only personal contact can give you insight along those lines.

On the flip side, I have huge paws. The Military fits them just right. However, the small Sebenza fits my hands pretty well too.

We're comparing 2 Entirely different types of knives. The millie is a big knife

that carries smaller than it is. I have a s90v Millie. Its by far the Best

cutting knife I have. It stays sharp too. I have big hands and need most of

the Millie handle length.

The small seb is in an entirely different class of knife. If you want a smaller

knife that will do most cutting jobs well it's a great knife.

I have 3 lg. seb and an Umnun. The Millie gets more use than the CRKs.

Plan to spend $225++ if you can find a s90v Millie. Spyderco only made

1000 of them.

I have a small regular sebenza and a regular S30V Millie, and I have done some edgeholding tests with an S90V Millie. Since everyone has already covered the size difference issue, I will only talk about two things.

For absolute quality of fit and finish, go with the small sebenza.

For absolute edgeholding, go with the Millie. My experience with my small sebenza is that it did not hold an edge as well as my other S30V blades, which is why I ended up sending it to Paul Bos for a better heat treat. In my tests cutting cardboard and sisal, the S90V Millie was in a class by itself compared to others that I tested (S30V from Buck, Spyderco, Benchmade, and Chris Reeve, CPM-D2 from Spyderco, ZDP-189 from Spyderco, A2 from Bark River, D2 by Bob Dozier, SGPS from Fallkniven, etc). That S90V just eats up cardboard and sisal and begs for more.

Add in the fact that there is a very limited number of the S90V sprints out there, I agree.

I will also add from personal experience that the Military does tend to carry "smaller" than you'd think, due in part to its construction.

Apart from size, handle material (I like the textured CF and not Ti), opening method (down to preference and experience; if you've carried lots of knives with studs you'll prefer those)
, build quality (the Sebenza should be superior by a small but distinct margin, from all I've heard) and blade steel (S90V vs S30V) all play a part.

I would get the Millie for the blade alone.

Hard not to agree with both of these ^^^
