This is a small, slim, slip-joint folding knife with a 2.125" flat ground, belt satin finish pen-blade. Blade and spring are of 1/16" 440C steel.

The handle is polished Bull Horn that I collect and process myself. Closed length - 3.125" Nickel Silver liners and pins. Coin Silver escutcheon. Handmade, tooled black lamb skin pocket sheath. SOLD $250 US (including FedEx economical insured to US or Canada. $15 extra to EU)

The knife opens with an easy pull. There is a relief cut inside the scale at the nail nick. Back spring is flush open and closed and has no half-stop. Supplied shaving sharp.

A beautiful little knife! Very slim - an easy everyday carry.

I am a full time knifemaker working in Merida, Yucatan Mexico. I ship knives internationally on a regular basis via FedEx. I accept Paypal and credit cards.

I use almost exclusively local handle materials that I gather and mill or process myself. Dense tropical hardwoods as well as wild and ranched deer, cow, bull and water buffalo horns.

The silver escutcheons are made from old Mexican silver coins and are pinned through the liners. You can still see some of the surface irregularities of the coins. All of the pins are nickel silver and are hammered over and left slightly proud of the handle. The decorative file work and carving are precise and carefully done, but you can also see that it was done by hand – I don’t sand or polish the file-cuts.

Wonderful once again. Do you have any more of that gorgeous vintage micarta left?

Tim beat me to that one ;)

Thank you guys. Yes, I do still have some of the vintage ivory micarta……. I also have another small sheet of ivory micarta that has yellowed slightly less and a little less deeply; and I have some natural linen micarta that has taken on a deep butterscotch tone. The old micarta's nteresting stuff - a nice blend of synthetic and organic.
