Small Stag Bowie {Hidden tang #2} Butt cap added. : )

Thanks guys, it does feel more complete with the cap.
I agree the handle has a little more than the ideal amount of drop, but it is such a niece piece of stag I couldn't imagine not using it. A trailing point may be a better profile for such a curved piece.
Hopefully I can find some nice pieces of stag at the next OKCA show, its almost impossible to find online!

The blade looks good and the butt cap is a nice addition.

If it were mine, I would sand the stag just enough to lighten the little nubs to accentuate the "popcorn" on that AWESOME stag:D

Good looking knife in both incarnations IMO.
For what its worth, I happen to like the 'sabre' configuration of the handle.

100 per cent improvement, the knife now looks finished!! Very nice knife and I'me with the few that also would like a little less drop on the handle.

ok, so no insight into how you finished the fittings?

Sorry Marc, I must have missed your first comment. The fittings are finished with Birchwood "Plumb Brown"

That's a fine looking knife. The fact that comments from the knowledgeable folks that post here, inspired you to make it better, is just great. Congratulations.

Really good all around. That stag is grippy, and the drop gives it a bit of a pistol grip. You won't slip on this one!

I hope in a good way! :D
I am not a Photographer by any means. But I do try very hard to take the best, most accurate photos I can. 99% of my customers are online, if they don't like what they see in my pictures, they move on.

Here is a pic of this little stag bowie before it was finished, next to its MUCH bigger brother.
Crappy cell phone pics are OK for WIP pics, right Coop? :D:foot:
