A lot of those are still true in my town (where I am back living after more than 15 years away).
The town is 20,000, so not quite that small now. But I have done a lot of the things on that list. My older brother has been hauled in to the Principles office because of something I did, or vice versa. Everyone knew my parents.
I had my own mom as a substitute teacher more than once. My dad was the athletic director at the community college, and my mom also taught english there (my friends who had her all called her Bette the Butcher, because she used so much red ink on their papers).
My older sister, younger sister and I all worked at the DQ for forever, and are still good friends with the owners!
I have picked rocks, and been in charge of a crew picking rocks (I was the only "legal" the farmer could find to pick rocks! All his own kids had moved away at that point).
I have driven a tractor, run a fork lift at the grain plant, moved train cars to load and unload grain, driven a Michelin front end loader (the big one with the monster truck sized tires).
I have taken a shot gun to work and actually used it while on the clock! (pest control!).
I have dug corrugates by hand, changed hand lines, and siphon tubes to irrigate.
I have taken guns to school (all the time) and left them in the trunk because I was going to spend the night on my friends farm and go hunting/shooting (without any adult supervision).
I have skipped school to go jump off bridges into the big canal.
