Small Traditional Lockbacks

Pretty much the same as Frank, but sometimes the knife goes along with the handkerchief, so it rides padded.

Just curious as to how you gentlemen carry these gentleman's knives. Simply thrown in your pocket with keys, change, etc., in a pocket slip cover, or in a pocket by itself? I have carried a 503 in the same pocket as keys and change for years, but it really takes a beating that way. Thanks for your thoughts.

Whatever knife I am carrying that day, goes in the right front pocket with a bandana and my little Fenix E01. That's it. Nothing else goes in that pocket, except maybe a small gold pencil. No change, no keys, no hand grenades, they go in left front pocket. I never carry a knife in the back pocket. Back pocket is for wallet and tobacco pouch.

I carry a CSC pinch frequently with my keys but I now use a little gadget I got off of kickstarter to hang my keys from the opening of my pocket so it doesnt take quite the beating anymore.

How about a couple of Craftsman/Sears lockbacks, I believe made by Camillus.

Meant to jump in sooner, but that top knife looks similar to the Camillus #2 I have. Blade is a bit less "deep," but the handle looks close in shape.

Lately here my 503 has slowly been replacing my slip joints as my main carry. It's a very handy size.

Here's three small LBs for consideration and all different: Zebrawood Queen, Delrin Yello-Jaket, Jigged bone RR. Shadow, Endcapped, Barehead. Thanks, Will

The 505 is a great size to ride in the watch pocket. I carry mine probably 2 or 3 days out of 7. On the off days I carry my peanut so I can maintain membership in the Cult. All backed up with my Custom Buck 501 or my SAK lately. Love the Buck company. I have several, including Custom Shop and off the shelf. Wish they would do more with different scale choices in the 300 line.

This Moki makes it into the rotation. It's the smaller one at 3 3/8".

I made an error here. Shocking I know. This was meant to go onto the end of the small lockback thread and I have no idea how to get it there short of creating two threads. My apologies. :(

Just wanted to thank the OP for this thread. Looking thru the pics prompted me to track down a Buck 55 to add to the fold. Found a NOS on the evilbay for a good price. Nicely made knife and came just wicked sharp as my pinky can attest to.

It really does look like a mini-me version of the 110. The 110 is one of the knives I think many of us started out with in our knife journeys. Seems everybody had one back in the day. And many still do. Speaks quite well of the Buck longevity.

Thanks! Joe

I don't know what the mods will determine best for this thread, probably a merge, but I support the idea of a dedicated Buck 55 thread. I know that I had some trouble tracking down all the information I wanted before buying one. Whatever happens, I really enjoy my 55

I don'y have a picture of my 55, but it is one of the go to knives that I carry most. Easy open. good lock-up, and keeps a great edge. I think this knife is often overlooked because of it's size-----you need to give it a look imho.

You can PM Gary and I with such an issue and we can address it. Or you can click the triangle with the exclamation point in it. That's the report post button. Our response may be slow this week. Gary is traveling with limited access to internet and I have no access to BF during working hours. But, we will eventually get to it. Let me find the the other thread and I'll merge them.

The Buck 55 is a cute little bugger for sure. I don't currently have one, but have given them as gifts several times, so I have had the opportunity to handle them on occasion.

If people dig the 55, it's worth a google search for the Buck 111, which is a 110 with the curved bolsters like the 55. Very pretty knife (but not small)

Kershaw Black Gulch, though I'm about to load up on buck 50xs and will probably alternate.

I was a long-time stockman man, but realized I only need one blade and want it to lock.

Tried my 112, but it's just too beg for pocket carry.

Come to think, i may "need" the test of that Officer Ranch collection:-)
