Some call these an herb chopper but this will also make a very usable tool for the camp. The First People of the Arctic use larger ulus for chopping, scraping, butchering, cutting fish etc etc.
Forged from 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated with three normalizing and two tempering cycles to Rc 58-60
Thin distal taper to the edge and very sharp
Stag handle
Leather edge guard

buffalo45: What a great purchase! That is a unique tool in many respects, but the thoughtful art that went into it takes it beyond that. I can just imagine the "Wow!" effect the first time this is in the hand, and put to use.
