small wheel attachment?

im buying a welded nwg. it has a small wheel attachment. I have searched and cant find its uses other than its just cool to have lol.
so what's it actually used for. I could see it being handy when profiling, but that's all I can think of.

I like that better than the drum sander I think. I seen a video of a guy putting a fuller on a blade. that would look cool on some blades.
 
Way better than a drum sander. Those little sleeves wear out so quickly. With a small wheel, you have a huge choice of belts to use that are more appropriate for grinding steel.
