I just made this for my grinder and thought i would putt it on here for anybody that might want to make one. I used 1x1/2 aluminum and aluminum spacers.
I used a 7/8 unibit in the drill press to make the hole for the bearings and then cutt it in half to get the ends to hold the wheel.

Jeremy, it looks like you have the renewed account, but you still have to manually change your user settings for it to show up

Thanks. The 7/8 unibit is the same size as the bearings an you only have to go thru the 1/2 flat bar half way and it leaves a step in there that keeps the wheel from moving side to side. This was the best way I could come up with this with only a drill press to make it
In case some folks don't know what a unibit is here is a pic. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415310434.868163.jpg

are your home made rollers shafts covered in rubber tubing?

I looked for some rubber tubing but didn't find anything. I wound duck tape around for a small cushion. It helps, but won't hold up long I'm sure. Since I only make a few knives per year that use small wheel, it holds up ok.
