Smaller Knives :>

We all love the big, meaty, titanium frame-lock folders, right?
But today, I'm looking for something a little different, emphasis on little.
I need recommendation as to what the favored small knife is.
By "small" I'm thinking something with a blade length of around 2" - 2 1/2." 3" at most.
I'm thinking something that is light, and yet durable, with smooth action.

Thanks in advanced,
Alex.

I was never a fan of Kershaw knives or their designs, but I really like both of the Spyderco's mentioned.

Thanks, keep them coming guys.

Without a price range, you'll get a lot of different answers.

My vote goes to CRK Mnandi or William Henry T10 Lancet (discontinued).

Edit: also, if you like Spyderco and don't mind no pocket clip, look at the Spyderco Air.

The dragonfly is my all time favorite small knife. Small and friendly looking but the finger choil and excellent ergos make if feel much larger in hand than it really is. It's an absolutely wicked slicer that makes a spectacular backup to a larger folder.

Thanks, and yeah, I'm defiantly eyeing the Dragonfly.
There is no particular price point, I'd just like to know my options on smaller knives.
I wouldn't mind putting down 300+ if it's worth the price.

I don't really like the aesthetics of the Air, It looks like a very capable folder, but I won't find myself carrying it if I don't like the design.
Thank you for the suggestions though.

I don't have an air either, for various reasons, just adding a lower cost option. Consider the Mnandi. It's the only small folder I carry. I find it an extremely capable and attractive small folder, as do many others. You can get one used for around $300 usually.

just got this in the mail. smaller then i thought but holds its wait thus far. batoned some notches in 2/4's blade held up. cut a shitload of cardboard and tape, still great. Also really enjoy the precision with the three notched handle, very comfortable, and i have large hands.

Sanrenmu 738, carbon fiber inserts and blue anodized liners.
Spyderco Native.
Spyderco Sage (1-4)

I'd say either a CRK mnandi, i have one and i absolutely love it. Or maybe a William Henry E6 EDC i was looking at this one when i decided on the mnandi. They're both beautiful knives.

I was having the same feeling. I love my larger blades but I was hankering for something more small and traditional but I wanted a nice steel. I found a Mueller Ram in S90v on the exchange and it should be here in a few days.

Spyderco Techno or Small Sebenza seems great for you. If you don't want to spend much, check out the Delica, chaparral, and dragonfly

SOG twitch two for me.It works very well as a money clip and nice sharp blade that you can open with just one hand.
