Smaller might be better, but is it small enough?

Welcome to the forums :)

Beat me to it...thanks.

Welcome Sharkson! Great blade choices if I do say so myself. Spyderco Millies (I have several different variations) are my favorite folders, but the new FRN Stretch has been hogging pocket duties lately. I must admit though, that the Izula has been getting the most use of any of my knives lately.:D

You guys are amazing. I've gotten so much information -- even photos! -- and all for free. Well, unless you count the uncontrollable urge, generated by your responses, to buy another knife. So this will cost me plenty in the long run.

To clarify, I'm not in the military, I just have a contract with them. I agree that my carrying a knife shouldn't be a concern to people, but it is, and part of my job is public relations. I'm also in California, where the law seems to say I can carry a fixed blade only if it's in view. To complicate matters, many of the military bases have signs at the entrance that prohibit bringing weapons (they illustrate that with a knife!) on to the base. That's not going to stop me, because my knife is a tool, not a weapon.

I'm a little self-conscious about displaying the RC-3 probably because of the above factors, plus it's my first fixed blade and, although I always have a knife with me, it's always been a folder in my pocket. Still, I'm going to carry it for a few weeks and see if I get used to it, and if there is a reaction from the public.

But I have a strong hunch I'm going to get an Izula anyway. Just not a pink one. (I need the respect of the military more than I need the respect of the public.)

Again, thanks for all your generous help.
