Smallest Number of Tools You Like on an SAK?

I really like the Scientist. UnknownVT, do you know where I can get one? I checked SMKW and Swiss-knife.com but neither had it.

Thanks.

The "Stag" handled version is one I had customized.

The regular Red cellidor handled Victorinox Scientist was imported to the US by Forschners years ago - but has long been discontinued.

However the model I think is still made by Victorinox, and therefore available elsewhere in the world.

The Swiss and International Model number is

# 1.6305 - "Scientist" -

(I posted this info before) I think one can get almost any current Victorinox SAK model from Mr. Paul Elsener - the son of the current owner of Victorinox - contact him via -

My minimum SAK is the Recruit. It has all the tools I need ans two blades. I used to carry a Tinker or a Super Tinker, but they just got too fat for my pocket.

The 84mm versions are now available in the us. The 84 tinker is the same size as the recruit but also has the phillips and the awl. I like the scientist, but it's hard to come by. The Yeoman is the scientist with scissors. this is a nice knife, but you get into 3 layers. The 84mm tourist (a smaller spartan) let's you stick the eyglass screwdriver in the corkscrew in a nice small package. If I could make up my mind, I wouldn't have 30+ of these things. oh, well.:D
