Just wondering if the resident SAK experts can give me a hand...

What is the smallest SAK (Victorinox prefered, but Wenger is okay too) with all of the following tools?

Large blade
Small blade
Scissors
Saw
Bottle Opener (with large plain screwdriver)
Can Opener (with small plain screwdriver)
Corkscrew
Phillips Screwdriver

It's the last two that always seem to be the problem when I've looked before. Usually seems to be the corkscrew OR the Phillips, but not both. I do have the Work Champ with both, but it's a big honkin' knife. I would rather find something a lot smaller with JUST the above tools, maybe just one or two extra.

Doesn't have to have the large locking blade. Smaller slipjoint is fine and is, in fact, prefered.

Check out the Huntsman Lite, Guyon. Everything you asked for as well as a pretty sweet LED flashlight (way brighter than the swiss cards).

Go to sosakonline.com and you can imput those tools; it will tell you which SAKs have them.

cheers

Thanks for the tips, guys.

tcolling, I'll keep an eye on that Marlboro version of the Outdoorsman. I can't tell if it has the saw or not though.

Steely_Gunz, I think I might pick up the Huntsman Lite. Does the light add any thickness to the knife? Also, is it hard to change out batteries on the light?

Good link for discontinued models I ran across: http://www.smartknives.com/knives-retired.html

Guyon..I don't know if you're registered over at the other forum, but in SOSAK,and SOSAKonline.com,there's some very capable modders who can fix you up with exactly what you want, and in the scale material of your choice

I've never handled the Huntsman Lite, but I have the Spartan Lite. It adds about one "thick" layer to the knife. It's not too bad, and would be unavoidable if you really have to have the in-line philips. The batteries are really easy to get to. I think the housing for the battery just pops up. I did have to buy a replacement battery at a battery store (not carried in the watch or electronic department at Target), but it burns a good while:thumbup:
Good luck! I would have loved to have had the huntsman over the Spartan, but that's all they had in stock at the time.

HA! I asked the seller if it has the saw, and here is his response:

"i dont know , it has alot of stuff i would say yes but i have not opened them all. thanks"

Buyer beware.

Buyer beware indeed! That seller sounds like a real jerk!

Email FelineVet ( felinevet@sosakonline.com ) and ask him whether he has a Woodsman (be prepared to pay a LOT) or a Marlboro Outdoorsman. Odds are that he has one or the other.

I asked an Ebay seller the other day if the knife had a corkscrew or PH screwdriver (Spartan or Tinker). There was only one photo, and it only showed the front of the knife. No real description, either.

The response:

"hi. please look at photos for auction number #######"

Hello?!?!?!

On the page, you could see where someone else asked a question and got the exact same response. Looks as if you can set up an autoresponse to questions!

I sent him a note just before the auction ended and said that I wished he'd checked the knife and that I would have paid up to $50 for the knife with saw. :D :D

A Vic "Woodsman" would have all those tools, but that model is out of production hard to find. I think a Vic "Outdoorsman" would have also them. The Outdoorsman was a special model made for Marlboro and they turn up often on eBay. Here is one (I think):

Tim, I finally picked up a Marlboro Outdoorsman. Thanks for pointing me in this direction.
