What is "Chinese silver"?

nlewman, That is a darn good question. It is some sort of heavy metal. I don't think that there is any AG silver in it. It is a very silvery metal and is quite heavy for it's size, so it has the look and feel of silver. It also has some sort of Chinese proof mark on the backs of 7 (of 9 total) plates. I can get you more pics if you like.
