They have one person that comes in "part-time" , three days a week, and thats there staff...
they basically take orders, then forward the orders to Amazon and Amazon then will send the dvd to you, it is not a real business...
You can just go straight to amazon and not get the shank..
I have been dealing with them for over a year on a refund...I have yet to get a return phone call...they just keep sending me automated email returns, explaining that they are working on it...
I deactivated the account a year ago, thru their web site and then they reactivated it last month and billed me a yearly fee again...which is illegal..
They sent me an email explaining that it was a computer error...
Had to go to the bank and change my account number to get it stopped...
I have never had to do that, with anyone....
You have been warned....
they basically take orders, then forward the orders to Amazon and Amazon then will send the dvd to you, it is not a real business...
You can just go straight to amazon and not get the shank..
Now you are just making this up.
I agree their service stinks to high hell, but this is totally inaccurate.
Amazon sells new DVD's
The DVD's I have received are used DVD's in a cardboard mailer, not the OEM packaging.
They come with an inventory sticker on them and are shipped back with a mailing address and return label for Smartflix.
I agree the university system full of errors and they have buttons in the final check out, designed to trick you into signing up for the university.
I've always strictly avoided that university because I have seen dozens of complaints about the auto billing system and I would rather be in control of what I want so I can track it .
The estimation system to keep you posted of when you may receive an item is completely broken.
They seem to have given up on fixing it too.
I've noticed that they have speed huge effort marketing the website creating demand, but can't service that demand in a timely fashon, then the return business is lost.
They need to pay more attention to SERVICE, timely responses, transparancy, new titles, faster turn around,
WORKING ESTIMATION,
I have been a so-so satisfied customer.
I can save $ if I'm prepared to wait for several months and for the most part I can deal with that, but the lack of response on new knife-making titles leaves me feeling that this company is going under eventually.
I believe the part that enrages people most, is that you are charged first, then you may receive the DVD MONTHS later with no good estimate of when .
I think if they charged on completion of the order, customers would have less to complain about.
The website definitely needs a telephone # and email contact on the website-
along with people that will service them.
I would gladly rent the new titles I want, but have given up on suggesting them.
I just noticed Travis had some comments above, any idea what they were before he got hit for spamming ?
