Jason Knight is a hell of a good knife maker, and was a real pleasure to deal with.

All work stopped for THAT half hour! As it should.

Looks like there will be some tree trimming accomplished soon. Yabba!

best regards,
hans

it just so happens I had a couple of cherry trees that needed falling a few days ago. I'll chop them up for you:)

Very cool, Lorien, congrats !
Looking forward to more pics. :)

Take more profile pics! Looks like a fun knife.

I'm not usually into the hammer mark thing, but if I ordered a user I wouldnt mind. Infact, I think it would help loosen you up about marking the blade up. This knife looks rugged and built to be used.

congrats

Congrats, it turned out great. Nice texture and shape of the handle. Looking forward to some user pics... :D

That is a great looking knife !

I had a chance to handle one of Jason Knights knives when he stopped by the ABS "Intro" course I attended, great guy and heck of a bladesmith!

Ha Ha!!! :D Happy day. That's a great looking knife. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun using it.
Having recently got my first J.Knight knife I completely understand your sentiment. Amazing knifemaker and a helluva good guy.

I have a few more photos I took at the end of the day. Lighting's not the best and my 2mp camera is old tech so...:thumbdn::rolleyes:

Anyway, I always enjoy it when people post pictures of their knives no matter how crappy, and there have to be others who do as well:)

Ok, and I have some AWESOME ACTION PICS! I took them at lunch time, and the area wasn't very well lit, but I can tell you now that the pics are HARDCORE!

I'll post them in a little bit here. There is some VERY GRAPHIC content!

In the meantime...enjoy my crappy picsTM:)

I promised action shots, and I do not want to disappoint!

Please note, those of you with weak stomachs and those of you who are idealistic vegetarians should seriously reconsider following this post.

The footage is shocking and NOT for the faint of heart!

I'll post up this EXTREME footage in a couple of hours, so get ready.

The promised EXTREME action shots are now available to view.

Don't say I didn't warn you...

I had to carefully stalk my prey. A roast beef and cheese sandwich can be elusive, to say the least. But I got my quarry cornered and went in for the killing blow...

sookemtnchopper003-1.jpg

One swift, smooth stroke brought death instantly, hewing cartilage and flesh with razor sharp precision. The unfortunate sandwich breathed its last breath...

The Sooke Mountain Chopper stands victorious over its vanquished prey. The taste of mustard has only whet this knife's appetite for more destruction.

Yes, I am a silly bastid. :p

PS. This is the SHARPEST knife I've ever received. I cut the main blocks for my sheath with this knife and it sailed through 8oz leather like it was newsprint. Scary, really. I have a lot of RESPECT for this knife.
