These are all done in house in Sulfur, LA, blades, grinds, heat treat, blade patina, sheaths with the finest in natural materials for beautiful handles. Gary Smiths in house heat treat of the only steel he uses, D2 is precise because of the hunters and bushcrafters of East Texas and West Louisiana. They tell Gary how they used them, how many times without sharpening, how they sharpen, how the edge holds under stress, etc. Gary Smiths knives are used by many of the hunters of East Texas and West Louisiana for their hunts of Whitetail Deer, Rabbits, Hogs, etc and give the feed back to the Smith & Sons shop so they can produce the best possible heat treat for strength and D2 edges.
