Just saw this knife in the october issue of Blade. But I cant seem to find it anywhere for more info. Anyone heard of this one?

looks like this, I read something about it in the whats new section, but would love to know more.
 
Read bout it in Blade...it's a DDR design is it not?

I just received word from Taylor Cutlery that they are due in the warehouse today. Which means these should be hitting the streets soon. They are also using 440C on these. I hope I am not wanting too much when I hope these are of Paragee and EDC quality. If these are S&W will have a winner.
 
If they maintain the HRT series quality, these will be close to the Paragee and EDC.
 
They are made in Taiwan and have a suggested retail of $56. I am surprised that they are using 440C instead of AUS-8. I prefer 440C but most stuff coming out of Taiwan is AUS-8. That Paragee is made in Taiwan and kicks ass. Lets hope these do as well. I have wanted a larger EDC for awhile now and this looks pretty close.
 
That was exactly my thought when I saw the picture of the FL2,a larger Paragee or EDC! I am please to hear the choice of blade steel is 440C. I will have to check availabilty on these next week, but at that suggested price will be ordering one online anyway.

I would like to see a good pic of them. I can get a rough idea from the Blade pic but would like to see more.

Looks like I'll be eating crow when it comes to S&W knives ;)
 
I thought that all the SWAT and HRT models were liner locks, I've never heard of a SWAT frame lock.
 
I got an FL1 today! :D

Fit and finish are excellent for a knife that has suggested retail of $56. :eek: :eek:

Reminds me of an EDC with a 4" blade.

S&W says it uses 440C but the blade says 440, it doesn't differentiate between A, B, or C.
 
There is another blade style available as well.
