SMKW sells fake Sebbie

I've lost all respect for SMKW. I always try to stop by when passing by on I-40, but no more:thumbdn:
 
I don't get the problem - it's a seven dollar bit of junk

It's imitation, not fake. It does not claim to be a CR knife, and there are no CR markings on it anywhere. Fake would be like the ones I see in the Haji shops on base in Afghanistan. Those have CR stamped in the handle just like the real deal.

LOL, I checked that link, and found the exact one I've seen in numerous Haji shops in Afghanistan. http://www.dhgate.com/chris-reeve-folding-knive/p-ff8080812ba9b1ae012baacc5283275e.html They even have the ball chain with CR leather swatch attached. Funny thing is, they want almost $50 for it, and, I could by it for <$10 over here if I wanted to. It's almost a convincing copy, expept for the fact that there's a locking mechanism on the back, right at the blade pivot to prevent the frame lock from closing on you. You can't see it in the photo, but it's there. Right where you'd find a lock for an automatic folder. The cheap copy is surprisingly smoothe opening, but definitely not even close to the quality of a real CR Sebenza. I'll try and get a photo of one in the next day or so.
 
I've had good luck ordering from them in general, but even in the last few months it seems their higher end knives are just being sold off. Looks like they are moving more to the lower end products. Though I don't have any 'time' watching them, maybe they have always been this way.

They are not marketing it as a Sebenza. What I do see is another Sanrenmu style junk knife. :thumbdn: You get what you pay for.
