Hello Everyone,

Really need some smoke and prayers for my wife and I right now...

One of our beloved Waueson Combat cats, Merlin, passed away peacefully in my arms Monday night at 5:00. After fighting a gall bladder infection and other complications for almost two weeks, we saw that he just couldn't fight anymore, and we gave him the gift of freedom from pain. He purred as we kissed him and told him goodbye, and he kept purring until he fell asleep for the last time. He was surrounded by love in his final moments. We loved Merlin fiercely, and he knew it. We will miss everything about him.

He was 14 years, 9 months old and for that entire time, he filled our lives with the most incredible, pure love. That's all he ever wanted, even more than food, which is usually a cat's driving force. But Merlin always needed our love and attention before he would eat a morsel--at every meal! Our other cat, Bagheera, has spent his entire life with Merlin and will be lost without his brother to look after.

Goodbye little one, I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge soon...

Sorry to hear that... at least he went peacefully! Sounds like he had an amazing life... cheers to that!

So sorry for your loss. I lost my 10 year old boxer two weeks ago so I know what you are going through. Merlin was very lucky to have you and your family. Thoughts are with you.

Prayers and Love from AZ. Sorry to hear.

Sorry for your loss. Losing a beloved pet is always so hard..

May he rest peacefully, surrounded by soft toys to destroy, couches to claw and infinite bowls of milk and last nights left overs to eat and drink like a King- of cats :p :D

These things tear me up. Pets are incredible companions. So sorry for your loss.

May he find peace in the clearing at the end of the path. And peace and comfort for you.

I am sorry for your loss. I lost my Bichon Frise couple years ago, I know it hurts so much. Losing a pet that's like a family member is never easy.

It sounds like your cat had a hell of a life.
Our time is short and there is NOTHING better than living it with those you love and care about like your cat did.

We lost two long time pets this year. Our 18 year old spaniel mix and our 15 year old pit mix.

It sucks. Prayers are with you.

Sorry to hear of your loss, thoughts and prayers sent

So hard losing a pet, I've been there so many times. Never easy they are such great companions

So sorry to hear that evltcat. Working at an animal shelter I know the feeling all too well. Smoke and prayers for you and your family.

Sad to read mate :( Our thoughts are with you and your family. Most know my two pups are really like my kids, one has some health challenges ahead or her now and I struggle each time I look at her hoping she understands how much she means that that I will do everything in my power for her. At those moment, when she catches me looking at her that way, she normally responds by launching herself into my arms/lap (no - she is not a little dog) or going and doing something she is not suppose to (like falling asleep on my pillow) in the full knowledge that she has an almost free pass available... ;)

Sorry to hear that mate. What a beautiful kitty he was. I lost mine of 17 years a little while ago. Gut wrenching.

Sorry man--a beloved pet is very tough to lose. Lost my Rottie many, many years ago and it still makes me sad to think about him. Take care brother.

I am *so* sorry to hear that. He was loved by you and may he rest peacefully. Prayers from NY sent.

Sorry about Merlin, and you sir, are a poet. You just about had me tearing up. I am sure Merlin was lucky to have you in his life and vice versa.
