Hello Everyone,
Really need some smoke and prayers for my wife and I right now...
One of our beloved Waueson Combat cats, Merlin, passed away peacefully in my arms Monday night at 5:00. After fighting a gall bladder infection and other complications for almost two weeks, we saw that he just couldn't fight anymore, and we gave him the gift of freedom from pain. He purred as we kissed him and told him goodbye, and he kept purring until he fell asleep for the last time. He was surrounded by love in his final moments. We loved Merlin fiercely, and he knew it. We will miss everything about him.
He was 14 years, 9 months old and for that entire time, he filled our lives with the most incredible, pure love. That's all he ever wanted, even more than food, which is usually a cat's driving force. But Merlin always needed our love and attention before he would eat a morsel--at every meal! Our other cat, Bagheera, has spent his entire life with Merlin and will be lost without his brother to look after.
Goodbye little one, I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge soon...
