Smoke and prayers from Reno

Thanks for the best wishes guys! She's starting to become alert, I'm sure she'll be glad to hear the support you've given us, and her. I'll be making the trip south to see her soon.

Thank you again for being such an outstanding community, and your continuous support.

I spent the day in the hospital with her and my family, she was to the point of being able to hold conversation which was nice but we're focusing on getting her home (or as close as possible) to spend time with her. Thanks again for your continued support!

She'll be coming home today for her remainder of her time in this world, when I was in the other day it's all she talked about. We'll make the most of what's left and treasure what time is left, it really reminds you that mortality is such a frail thing that can change its whim with the winds.

Just an update:

Things are winding down to their final stages, they've got her on comfort care and everything is coming to a resolution. There are rough days ahead, but than God our family is close, so we'll have each other.

Always keep in mind that this is only school, from which each and everyone graduates, and the lesson quite simple to gain the diploma rather than flunking out.....to learn to love our Creator selflessly so that we can love all others as selflessly as our Creator loves us....and the closer we come to that, the more seamless the translation...sounds to me as if you all have your priorities correct....at my age i have more friends, families, pets, etc there than i have here, and i very much look forward to the reunion and all the catching up....meanwhile i know they are praying for me daily and probably wincing several times a day as well....but all we need do is TRY....success IS sincere effort...i will keep you and yours in my prayers at our offerings...

Nice words, Mtngunr. Darth, my best to you and your family. Not all are blessed being so tight with each other. I will mention you in my prayers.

Best wishes to you and your family. Times like these are always the hardest. May you and and family have a peaceful and calm time together. Being together is the most important thing during these times. Prays and blessings to you and your family.

Smoke and prayers. It's bitter sweet when we get the chance to tell a loved one goodbye.

My thoughts with you and yours.

Today things came to their resolution, the circle's been made full so to speak. Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers, they've helped quite a bit I think. I've not found myself the most devout of men in years past, but the moment I got the call that she had passed, the skies opened from torrential rain to being borderline hot (she liked it that way) and I think it's her own way of saying that it's alright to be sad, but she's up there watching over us. Now's the time for mourning and celebration of her life, and with time all wounds will heal.
