Smoke needed

She knew who I was :) She knew who and where she was :D she knew what day it was :D:D she even knew who she was :D:D:D , she's just still not sure about yesterday or why she's there, I coulda cried I was so happy.

Anyone who's ever gone through this, is it common to have things taste different, she's still not eatin' 'cause she say's everything tastes funny, or is that just hospital food. :barf:

Thanks everyone, the smoke and prayers seem to be gettin' through keep 'em commin'.

Thanks for all your thoughts, Bless ya all, It's been a long day I'll keep ya'll posted.:)

Prayers going out from the holy land, T.E.
(From here it's a local call.)

In answer to your question, it is extremely common for folks to say that things taste different after something like this. This usually passes.

If you think that I can be of some help (questions or contacts), feel free to PM.

(Brain scientist, not a clinician.)

THANK GOD!! I have tears of happiness in my eyes!!! Thank you for the update.

180 degree turn around, she' eatin' talkin' knows pretty much everything except the first day this happened.

They think it was a mini stroke and she's been havin' seizures, petite mal, this explains alot over the last year.

The MS affected the part of her brain that deals with complex speech, she knew what she wanted to say but not how to say it.

Words like Pennsylvania, (where do you live? New Jersey:confused:) apparently New Jersey is eaier to say than Pennsylvania, it has a more complex rhythm, accents in different places, more complex intonation.

She shoulda just said Jersey. :D

She couldn't, (still can't) say Presbyterian Episcopalian, hell I can barely say say it but it made me understand what the symptons meant.

We have a ways to go but she may be home tomorrow according to the Docs, just waitin' for the EEG results tomorrow.

Thanks for all your smoke and prayers, it does work, I'll post more when I know more.

I'm very thankful for the 180 degree turnaround. I'll continue to pray for both of you.

I'm very happy to hear your wife is doing better:):D

Best wishes to her & you:thumbup:

She's home today, after all the tests it turns out she was havin' siezures, she's been havin 'em about a year, MRI showed no sign of stroke, other than a little dizziness and bein' tired she's 99% her normal self.

Thanks one and all, sometimes the smoke and prayers do work and tonight smoke to you all and prayers are out bound.:)

Wonderful to hear she is home. I'm so glad it wasn't a stroke.
That is great.

Do they know what kind of seizures they were and can come up with a fix?
