Smoke Needed

Hey Karda,
Sandy and I are very Glad to hear that no one lost their life.
Having been in the Radiology Field since 1982, I have seen many many MVAs, and since the Air Bag became Universal, the number of facial bone series that needed to be done dropped way off, tho of course CAT scan is now used for the vast majority of Head Trauma.
I have seen many cases where the Air Bag DID save their Life.... Now and then there would be a case where someone threw their hand up in front of their face and received a broken finger from the bag, but overall, IMHO, the Airbag is a Life Saver.
RE: The Parent thing and age, etc....it sounds like You are about a year older than me..I am a 1964 model have 2 teenagers out West in WA State from my 1st marriage, and am helping raise a 10 and 8 yr old here in NY..... Soon I expect I will be hearing tales of Driving woes, etc from Out West.
Ahh well....life is never boring.

Remember that the HI Family is here for You Guys and IS thinking, Praying and sending smoke up for You and Your Family.

Hang in here, Karda,

Ed and Sandy

PS: When things get settled down a bit I'll have to relate to You guys a wee 'Lil adventure Sandy and I had a couple of years ago involving cars, Hospital, etc.....

I have a little UPDATE.

My daughter in law somehow went into the other lane in her Honda Accord and hit a Ford F150 in the front end...and then the Dodge Durango that was following the Ford crashed into it, totalling all 3 vehicles. Noone in the trucks was hurt at all ....thank god!!! Because of the Airbag and seatbelt, she only recieved minor cuts and bruising despite ending up in the backseat. She has plenty of aches and pains tonight, but its nothing serious. As opposed to what it coulda been. Our family is feeling quite fortunate tonight.

Thanks again for the replies guys and Yangdu!!!.... It was a big help in making things settle down on my end...a very big help and one that i'm very grateful for. I'm glad i found such wonderful people.

@ Doc: You and i seem to have made somewhat similar paths. The son and daughter i mentioned earlier are my step kids and my own son is still here at home. I love them like theyre my own, even though after a rotten stepdad before me, it took years for them to warm up to me and even treat me nice. They are 25,24 and 24 respectively. and i'm a late year 1963 model, made in the old stubburn factory with knots on the head accessories.

Two days late, but not smoke short:thumbup:
Smoke and positive healing sent to your precious lady.
We're happy to hear she's ok.
I get knotted in my gut when my oldest baby(18) and Holly make the drive to the campus 30 miles away. I always say a prayer when they go, and am thankful when they get home, especially in the crazy storms we've had lately.

Have a great New Years Eve and then Day:)
