Smoke/prayers please

Will light one for you both tonight.

A year ago, I looked at an impending divorce and made a choice: I chose to live.

She views the hurricane destruction of our home and the breaking-point stress it drove us to as a blessing;

the house was destroyed, but our home together remains.

Hope you come to a reconciliation without such an epiphany.

Good luck, Tom.
Mike

edit: just lit it.

I wish you a good outcome of these hard and trying times for you. But sometimes it is better to face up and deal with the inevitable.

You got it.

Best of luck:thumbup: It can be rough sailing I haven't been married that long but we've had our ups and downs.

You got it Tom. Just hit 22 years on 1/28 and spent the whole day not speaking to each other so I know where you're at, at least a little. Hang in there Tom and I hope it works out.

All the best,

Norm

Smoke from Oklahoma for everything to be done in a good and gentle way.

Best wishes Tom. Its soul searching time. I have been there twice. Fifteen years each - odd that.
Believe me, the best outcome is the one that happens. If it all turns to custard, fight the bitterness! Your kids will remember when they grow up. I feel your anguish.

Regards, Brent.

Thanks all. I won't bore with the sordid details, but there's the basis for some hope. However things turn out, I agree with all who said that the focus has to be compassion, rather than bitterness.

Some marriages made it, some did not. In any case, there are survivors here who are willing to help.

…….. All parties in the original situation are much happier now. It is my wish for you that you and your wife find what leads to happiness for you both and follow that path wherever it leads. Much smoke and many prayers.

Dunno about your case, but my experience is that most arguments aren't about the subject of the argument.
Hope it works out well for everyone.
