I thought there was good money to be had looting and pillaging.

Will keep you and your family in my prayers. Hope everything works out for the best.

A common misconception, actually. Of course it helps to remember a simple mantra: "pillage, then burn." :D

Smoke drifting upward on behalf of everyone on the hunt: David, Jose, Andrew and all the rest. Especially David -- then he'll have more time to hit people with sticks! ;)

It's amazing how many people I know are having trouble finding work, at all levels. My dad's been on the lookout for work in upper level hospital administration. My cousin's tool and die apprenticeship evaporated out from under him. A good friend just graduated from law school and is seriously considering waiting tables to cover rent. Another friend finished her undergrads last year and is still temping. Lots of people unemployed or underemployed -- and not for lack of trying!

My wife and I will finish grad school next Spring, and are planning on teaching high school science. At least that's a sector of the economy resistant to outsourcing overseas... :p [Dons flame retardant underwear and scuttles off to the bunker cackling madly.]

This place is going to turn me back into a pack a day habit. Oh well, with the incense, it's only $1.50 a pack and no tobacco taxes.

Hack. cough!

Wado, Yvsa!

Well, all, the verdict is in and it wasn't in my favor. Oh well.

Strange couple of days though. My current employer seems to have possibly caught wind and have had me in meetings for the past couple of days-
telling me they have me in mind to become a manager this year.
I hope they are serious. The way time moves at my age, the rest of the year will come quick and we'll see what happens.

Isn't it amazing as your time here gets shorter, your memories span longer and longer time? As we get older, our experience of life becomes more and more interwoven with the abstract reverberations of our life experience.

David,

May the resolution meet your needs.

I'm really eager to check out a class, the next time I'm in ATL.

John
