Hi all,

Well, the wheels fell off this wagon in S. Florida. It appears that the staff that came to work on this job were lied to in regards to the financial structure of the venture... in other words it is in deep financial trouble. Our pay has dried up and equipment purchases have been returned in order to pay bills (the owner's).

We are all bailing out trying to find jobs ASAP and I can use all the help I can get to get my butt out of this town. There are some good job leads in my field, so all might not be lost. It is just a little scary being in a foreign land with little funds and a bleak employment outlook.

Oh well... what doesn't kill me just makes me more paranoid :)

Prayers and smoke, and cutting heads off of chickens and spewing rum everywhere if it'll help (hey, saw it in a movie one time, seemed to work for them fellers).
Dadgum sorry to hear about a good guy getting bogged down in a mess like that. Just kidding about the chickens and the rum, but totally sincere about the prayers, hang tough bud.

At least you will be getting away from Lake Okeechobee and Clewiston's lovely environs- not a place to be when a h________ breaks the levy. Or any other time. I was more worried while you were there.

Alan, if I can help, email me with some specifics about your line of work- I did 17 years in South Florida before escaping. I might be able to suggest a decent place to work/live in the Miami area.

OK dude this isn't a problem. South Florida should accomodate you. What field are you in???? I know people down there. Without even calling around I know someone looking for a cook right now. That may tide you over. Good guy, and knife nut too. He's in the Palm Beach area too, so not tootoo far. PM me. I seriously know lots of folks down there. Atlanta is full of opportunity too. Lemme know what you do.

Thanks all. It might have helped... tomorrow will tell. I'll keep you posted. On a positive side, I have a couple of really good job leads back in Wyoming :) If this just turns into a roundabout trip to a really cool job, well then all is good.

Aproy... thanks man. I'll be in touch after tomorrow. We might have had a miracle happen financially here... but we've been told a lot of things since we arrived that haven't been true. Time will tell...
