Smoke request for my sister

What a beautiful cat. Smoke sent, may you all find peace and strength from within.

Smoke sent. What a creature!

Sorry I missed this. I know it's already been said, but what a magnificent cat! Truly beautiful. I'm sorry for your sister, Ted.

Here's the latest from my sister. It's looking better. Thanks again for all the smoke and prayers.

15 pills a day in 4 feedings...we change up the regimen a lot trying to find out what works. He's doing okay. Wobbly and some pain, but rests well and has an appetite. Hoping he can beat this. He is blind at night, but still has vision during the day. There is no record of Lyme in wild cats. They probably get it in the wild, but nobody knows. And nothing documented in zoos

Update 9/13/08

He has bad days still and days that aren't so bad, but this morning was the first time he actually gave me a little meow/chirp at breakfast time. :) :) :) Honestly, I haven't heard that for about 5 months. He's on a full load of meds right now, which we don't want him on longterm, so I am scheduled to withdraw one or two tomorrow and see the result. But each time, he gets a little better. He's been on antibiotic for 2 months. So, I hope that we are starting to beat this.

That's really wonderful news Ted! Continued Smoke and Song from Oklahoma for Apache, a really cool four legged.

Bad news. He has not gotten any better and my sister has decided to put him down today. It is for the best though. He'll be out of pain finally.

Sorry to hear it, Ted.

Prayers and best hopes and wishes for Apache and Dawn.

:(

This is a real shame that things had to turn out this way, Ted. And to such a beautiful cat too. Your sis and others close to her were no doubt fortunate to have such an animal in their lives for the time they did though. Here's hoping good memories will ease the pain.
