Andy, thanks for the post.
The smoke is for me, I am having heart surgery (yes I do have one) Wed. morning. The cardiologist is confident and that's always good, and I am in good spirits as well.
Thank you for the support and I will keep everyone advised. We have some very special and thoughtful individuals on this forum!

My friend is having heart surgery if that helps Sarge, and no, too nosey you are not. Just didn't do lots of details because not many people know about it.

I will say this much, I am very grateful for the support you guys have given. Our prayers banded together have a strength (I believe), and so I asked. Thanks Guys.

My dad had bypass surgery 14 years ago, and he wasn't a particularly young feller then. Got a call from him and mom just the other day. They're up in the smokies with their camper trailer, surrounded by the mountains they love, and the friends they love, doing what they love, which is sitting around the campfire swapping yarns and playing bluegrass music. They sounded as full of joy as a couple of teenagers.

There's more to a heart than just a muscle that pumps blood. You've got a good one Dick, and the docs may need to do a bit of "mechanical work", but you've got the rest covered. Best prayers for a smooth operation and a speedy recovery.

While the forum was on vacation, my surgery showed no blockage or weakness, that leaves many questions unanswered but they are in the process of trying to get answers.
I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers and feel privledged to be part of this forum.
