smoke request

I cant tell you how much all of your support means to me and my family.

Thank you all.

They are thinking exposure to agent orange in vietnam might be the cause. I talked with him this morning and his spirits seemed high, and he feels positive about the treatment he is getting. Were waiting on more test results to know more......

Again, thank you. Im floored at the amount of support we have recieved from your posts, emails and phone calls.

It's certainly a possibility, if a grim one. Just remember that there is always hope and keep fighting.

Smoke and prayers sent Jake. My father is fighting a T-cell lymphoma now too. Scary stuff brother, but he already beat melanoma. I'm going to visit him next week. I just try to be supportive, tell him I love him, and talk a bit. Not much else to do, right?

Really sorry to hear about your dad Jake and that you're having trouble getting out to see him. If there is anything we can do to help out with that, let us know. You and yours will be in our prayers. PM sent.

Thanks guys. Youre totally right Rotte. Not much else to do but be supportive, listen, pray, and wait. Im sorry to hear about your father. Smoke sent brother.

Its been a bad week. Yesterday morning I folded my knee back the wrong way. After spending all day at the doctors I am now in a brace with a bad knee sprain, possibly ACL tear. Im not supposed to be at work, but here I sit. Just cant afford to miss any days. We dont have sick time, we get ETO(earned time off) which I have almost none left. Awesome. I cant ever sit still for too long, and now they say I have to. I was filling time with work and outdoors activity to keep my mind off all that has happened lately, now I just have to sit and stew.

Heres some back story for you guys. My mother and father have 7 adopted children theyve taken in over the years from ages 6 to 13. My mother was diagnosed with MS 2 months ago, and now this. Not a good situation.

I havent slept many hours lately, and have eatin very little. Just not in good shape. Every man has a breaking point.....makes me wonder where mine is. Got to keep on truckin.

Sorry for the ramble....It helps to sit and write down some thoughts.

:rolleyes:Keep writing. Whenever you feel like it.

We may not be able to do much ... but we can listen.:)

Don't feel alone. There are millions of folks just like you, huddling over computer keyboards everywhere. And we all have similar issues.;)

Dont forget to take care of yourself. Letting your health go down the tubes doesnt help your folks situation at all. Try your best to stay mentally and physically strong. Eat and sleep like you know you should and everyone will be better off. Its your turn to be the rock. Make it happen. Wishing you strength from here.

I'm so sorry to hear this.Smoke & Prayers going up from Jersey to you & your Dad.I hope he fairs through this.

Best of luck

Jake, take care of yourself man. Sounds like you are catching stress from every direction and life seems out-of-control. Sorry to hear you also hurt your knee now on top of everything else.

I find that it helps to identify the small things that you can control. I feel less helpless if I can focus on what I can do. But definitely take care of yourself. Ya ain't gonna be there for anyone else if you don't. Hang in there man.

Thats great advice, and I have been following it. I sent out a care package yesterday to my pops with some nice pajama pants, and some snacks, and wrote him a letter. Made me feel a bit better, as I hope it does him. This morning I feel somewhat better. My pain in my knee seems less, and my spirits are higher. Ive decided to use my downtime with the knee to finish some reading, and hone some skills I dont need to be on my feet to do.

Thanks buddy.

Jake, prayers from Oroville, too.

Autumn and I will be keeping you and your family in our prayers. Hang in there.
