I've had some pretty good luck buying knives from Smoky Mountain Knife, but recently it's been very difficult to log on. Does anyone know anything about this company and why their site is down so much?

Confederate, their site has some weird security certificate that some browsers don't like.
But usually you can just click past the warning and the site works fine.

I bought a bunch of stuff from them just about 10 days ago and everything arrived quickly.
 
i was on their site just yesterday. it was working just fine. maybe its something with your computer. hope this helps.,,VWB.
 
Confederate: perhaps try cleaning out all of your computer's cookies, or if you can find it, just the Smoky Mnt cookie. Its worth a shot.

I can't get the site to open either right now either.
(and NOT because of Confederate's bad link;))
 
Sometimes I can't get on to SMKW either. I'll click a link to the site or enter the URL but it ends up loading for a long time and the home page never comes up. I typically wait a little later in the day and then I have no problems getting on.

It's actually not working for me right now

yea i just tried and had no luck either. i guess the site is down. give it a day or so and try again. ive been on it a hundred times and this is the first time i havent been able to log on.,,,VWB.
 
Been purchasing from SMKW since the late 70s when they just sent out a thin catalogue. They have always been up front if an item was not in stock and shipped very prompt. They are one of the top 5 dealers IMHO…
