smooothest folder

I have never owned a $200 - $300 folder so I may not know what I am missing. However I have to say my Kershaw Lahar and Junk Yard Dog 2 are both super smooth to me.

I'm not a great fan of flippers but RJ Martin's Q36 feels like its an assited opener. The blade flys out like a Kershaw Onion Leek. Its amazing, you have to try it to believe it.

The Benchmade 710 axis lock is by far the most consistently smooth opening knife I have handled.

Mcusta or a Browning Ice Storm which is made by Mcusta. These are smoother than my Benchmades.

Lower priced(under$50): Kershaw JYDII,Leek(any style),Storm I & II

Medium priced($75-$150):SOG Vulcan,ZT0200,CRKT Voodoo,SERE 2000

Higher priced($200 & up):ZT0301,SOG Arcitech,& probably custom blades.I don't know,cause I don't own any customs.
I'm sure there are a lot more, but these are the ones I've owned &/or handled. They are all very smooth.

Mayo, Doucette,Carson,Obenauf, Korth, any IKBS you can't go wrong with any of these.

A folder that I've always thought of as smooth is the EDI Genesis 1. They are out of business but you can find one used from time to time. If time and money are no object, you can get on Scott Cook's waiting list for a Lochsa. Sebbies have great action and from time to time you'll gett a good one used.good luck
