A crappy screen & cant see well your example.
I exclusively use reindeer antler. Working up to around 800-1000 then a dry cotton firm wheel buff. Sometimes a white abrasive, that seems to polish faster, but I think some of that shine is just due to the wax carrier within the abrasive.
But with abrasive, be careful if any metallic component is adjacent to the horn. It will smear dark stain onto the horn & possibly spoil it.

i do not see any scratches, looks good and shiny. if you can still see them, try the sanding in different directions like you do on a blade until the previous scratches are gone. the higher you sand before buffing, the less you need to buff, and the less likely you will be able to feel the antler/wood joint with your fingernail while your eyes are closed. i enjoy when it all feels like one piece.

ok thx will continue with higher grit sanding. The antler to wood joint is perfect, I just see some scratch marks in the middle body of the antler.

On stag I always sand to at least a true 600 grit, NOT P600! If using sandpaper with a p in front of the number you should use at least p1000. Then buff with white matchless to remove any sanding marks and finish with white diamond compound for a high polish.
