Smooth Out G10?

It will change the appearance - only slightly if you use a fine grit and light touch but it depends on the original finish of the G-10.
 
One thing I've done to just take the edge off the grippiness of G10 without making it too smooth us to rub it with wood. I've done this to both Emerson and Cold Steel G10 which are known for being about as smooth as fresh 40 grit sandpaper.
