A Jim Smyth built Kit Carson Model 16. The story goes Jim was at Kit's house and built this Model 16 for himself.
He's known to be rather fond of Timascus but this was built during the time when Timascus was very hard to come-by
and so he colored the Ti scales in a fashion after the look of Timascus. It's very striking. No offense to Kit, of course,
but it's probably the very nicest M16 in existence. Hand Checkered Dual Thumbstud, Solid Ti Backspacer, Ti Frame Lock,
Absolutely Beautiful Hand Rubbed Satin Finished Blade and a--alright last superlative--Superbly Smooth Action.
