Snail trails?

As a plain Jane wears in, it starts to look really good IMO.

Mine has a long way to go before it starts to really look like its had a good life, but i plan to keep on carrying it so we will see.
I think the in the pocket sheath i a great idea.

I agree with those that say it is a feature, not a bug. Like a pair of shrink-to-fit jeans, a well used CRK will be one of a kind. The first handful of marks are the hardest, because they stand out and seem out of place. But over time a pattern develops and reminds me that there may be many knives like this, but this one is mine.

The first one is always the hardest to get over, but then you come to a point where it doesn't bother you anymore and you stop babying it. The look and feel of a pristine, fresh out of the box CRK is amazing, but there's something about the worn look and feel of a companion that's been there with you everyday for years.

Excuse my nuub question, but why is it called a "snail trail".
The marks on the ti are not scratches, they're more wear marks. They actually look like real snail trails. If you've never seen a real snail trail, you can find pics on google.

Ok then, first I've heard of it but I'm also new to knife forums. Ive loved and owned knives for years but have only recently joined the forum. Most wear on my blades look more like " Bear Trails" LOL.
