I decided to go for a hike somewhere I had not yet been today. It turned out to be a lot shorter than I'd expected but was still enjoyable !

As I was making my way up I started to get some views...

Suddenly I came across this fella....quite well hidden eh !

I managed to catch him but he was a bit camera shy and wriggled like crazy, hence the poor pics...

I showed him my Dumpster Mutt and told him he'd be on Bladeforums....

I left the snake behind and continued for the top...

I was soon at the top, guess this is why it's called Lone Tree Hill...

This was my view as I drank my tea ! While I sat I watched Turkey Vultures circling and then a pair of Hummingbirds chasing each other, they are just amazing the speeds they fly at !!!

I know you are wondering...was my dog on Bigfoot watch again ?

Course she was...

Then just as we were heading home I spotted this chap in the bushes...

Cool. Did you bite the snakes head off and eat him raw?? LOL. My wife almost lost her lunch when she saw BG do that.

Normally I would have done but I'd had rather a large sausage sandwich for my breakfast and was still full !!! COUGH !!!!:D

Awesome pics (insert Forest Gump voice) again. What did mutt have to say about the deer?

BTW, have you, by any chance been in a commercial for some cereal with real chunks of granola bars in it? Sure looks like you hiking on Vancouver Island.

Not with me knowing bro.....though Mrs pit says I look like the Mr Clean character !!! lol !!!!

Well have you ever been hiking and run into someones Grandmother that offered you some cereal in the middle of nowhere? Whoever it was looked a we bit surprised.

So muttster don't chase deer?

Yeah, looks like the guy from the Kashi cereal commercial.

Pitdog, awsome pics! I always look forward to seeing pics from your adventures.

Thanks for more great pics. My family is making a trip up in your area and I can't wait for those sorts of views. We're headed to the Olympic Park area.

N'ah, she knows the difference between a deer and Big Foot and is trained only to bring down the big guy :D

hey pitdog...nice pics once again...and i like that all of the things in your kit are labeled.

i am just wondering, do you use a tripod at all for your pics? they are normally very nice and clear, and i have trouble getting that kind of clarity without a tripod or some other stable support to lean on...

No bro I don't use a tripod......not all my pics are clear either, just the ones I show !!!:D

I tried to get a photo of a bird today, an indigo bunting. They live here , maybe one pair ,but they flit about so much I've never gotten a picture. This time I pushed the button about half way when he flew off !

Hmm. I've been looking around for a snake lately, with no luck. Wanted a new pet snake to observe and would rather catch one than buy one from a pet store. I know there are snakes where I love, but they seem kind of rare. Even just a Garter Snake or something.
