Snakeskin handles

It is been a long...long time since I've posted but I have rekindled my interest in knives. I don't know if this has been asked before but will Snakeskin handles ever be offered again. I have been a huge fan of them in the past and their original look but I haven't seen them lately. Anyone in the know? Thanks!
 
My understanding is that they are very close to "out" of that material. Many attempts to replicate it have failed.

What they have left is in odd chunks. You might be able to get a Custom knife with such a handle -- just contact the Busse Custom Shop to find out.

Otherwise, you are left dealing with us Old Hogs. We've got plenty of the snakeskin micarta handles. However, it isn't easy to get us to part with it!:);)
 
From what I've read, they were, e an accident that so far no one has been able to reproduce, and existing stocks are about gone.

Edited to add: I started this post before Old Physics answered the question, but was called away from my computer. So this post won't be entirely useless, here's a picture of my snake and tan collection:

Also, a year or so ago (or was it three or four years ago?)when I contacted the shop about getting custom snakeskin scales for my AK47, I was told that they didn't have any pieces of snakeskin big enough.

I've heard that there is a hand rubbed snakeskin Gladius out there. Anybody have a pic or one to sell me?

Could also go for a snakeskin KZ, never seen one of those either.
 
Its a shame that the snakeskin is gone. I think the design is by far the most interesting handles on the market.
 
I'm sure if Lexi could find a way to get more snakeskin they would. It'd be a big seller now that it's dried up, the demand is high.

I'd also be torn on it as I've paid a premium for some of my knives just because they have snake scales. But it would be worth the loss just to get everything I want in snakeskin.

Maybe its time to throw those snakeskin 1911 grips to the hogs!!!!

Never heard of that before, it definitley would be a sight to see.

I've also heard there are at least 2 Snakeskin MOABS, but........ ;) ;) :D :D :D
 
Lol, I know of four snakeskin MOABs. 2 of them are on my want list ;)

There are also some silent knights on the want list as well as the FBMLE and FBM Proto that are out there. Oh yeah, and the other 12 NMFBMLE's and so on.......

And I know where the Dragon's Fang is and hopefully the owner may some day tire of it.
 
The re-release Silent Knights....I saw one or 2 in Snakeskin, there is a Satin Original AK in Snake Skin I have been after for a few years also!!!

I guess that makes at least three snakeskin MOAB's that are on my list because I don't have this one either, although I know where it is and he knows I want it.;)
