Snap on Bluepoint Belt Sander

How Does The Unit Track? Can You Run Belt Over Either Edge?
Does It Run Smooth?
Does It Attach To Any Grinder?
Is Attaching One To A 1/2hp Grinder A Waste Of Time?
Has Anybody Used It With The 8in Wheel?
There Is No Real Input On This Machine Out There, That I Can Find?
It Looks Like It Could Be Handy For Somethings. If It Works!
Maybe Somebody On This Fine Forum That Has Used One Could "break It Down" A Little Bit And Provide A Comprehensive Review On This Product.
 
After doing some auction hunting, I won one this morning. This is the same as the one you add to a bench grinder, but has it's own motor. The seller has no feedback, but I'm hoping for a good transaction. Uses 2x36 belts and 7 inch discs. Motor is 3/4 HP. Got it for $60 shipped. As for belts, I figured I'd buy 4x36 from Supergrit and split 'em (tip I got from watching an Ed Chattin interview). Description is here.

I thought about one of those, but didn't recall seeing anyone using a 4 inch belt for knives, and thought there might be a reason. Let us know how you like it when it gets there.
