It could have been a LOT worse. I ended up walking out spending a total of $225. That was with a new tire, 4 wheel forever alignment, tires rotates, another tire getting a patch, and a flush and oil change with synthetic. It should have been closer to $650.

LOL at the nail sticking through it.

This is mine. Heard something hit the wheel well of my truck and figured it was a rock or something. Few hours later this happened. And no, I didn't drive on it after it blew out, I pulled over immediately and changed it. Outer rubber on the sidewall must have come off near Ontario, Oregon and I made it almost to Utah heading towards Ogden.

Hey folks, I'm looking for a pair of 65l ILBE Sack Dry Bags. Does anyone who's going to Ethan's gathering have a reasonably priced source? I'ld be looking to grab two and could pay you at or before the gathering. Prices online are all over the map and I can't find any retailers in Canada. Anybody got any ideas?

Hey, Thorny. It's finally under control. Gonna start training again. Will likely take a short climbing trip after the gathering and then Christine and I are going to spend Christmas and New Years climbing down in Hueco Tanks in Texas. We met there 17 years ago and this is our 10 year anniversary. We thought we would celebrate it down there.

How's your shoulder?

Good to hear man. Tendinitis is no joke. The shoulder is healing great, but apparently that's a bad thing ..lol the muscles and incisions and such are healing really really well, but the Labrum takes longer to bond back to the bone (It was completely detached) So I have to be super careful to not do something silly while the bone is still fusing back to the Labrum. At less than 2 weeks out I was 15-20 degrees range of movement farther along then they expect someone to be at three weeks ...lol Guess I cant complain about healing like a mutant. I am 3-4 months from climbing or pull ups though sadly.

Good stuff man! Just be cautious. Don't injure yourself before you heal!
 
Some crazy sh!t gonna happen. Now watching the new episode of Boardwalk Empire. Incredible series.
