Took a little road trip yesterday to visit my siblings. Stopped by at GP knives and bought their last BK-16. Also picked up a Norton Combo stone, and I started using it. I was unaware that those were made in Mexico.

Now my sister's BF has a stone for his apartment.:D
 
Picked up a pair of basically new Danner Marine Hot's at Goodwill today for less than $10. Nice.
 
Still haven't heard from Murph. Has anybody else?

Dude, should have called. There is a knife show down at the Carpenter's Union Hall this weekend. GP Knives had a booth there even.

I have ZERO skill using a slingshot. I'd much rather use a shotgun.


I have nothing to watch tonight on Netflix... Someone recommend something. Before you say anything, no they don't have pron.
 
Woody, I've counted over a hundred turkey visible at one time before. The lone bird to the right is the lookout.

The treeline in the background is a bluff that drops off into an 8200 acre swamp. They say an adult sasquatch eats about twenty turkey a year, so I only take one or two. :D
 
Yup we know where to go to get our turkeys for thanksgiving :) As long as the sasquatch agrees anyway lmao
 
I used to go count deer with my granddad at dusk. Had a ton of fun doing it. Most we ever counted was 57 in one evening. This was during the summer like 18 years ago though.

Im getting pretty good with mine, im really impressed with it. im going to start practicing shooting arrows with it next!

I might prefer the shotgun too or a bow, hell Im not bad with a bow, rifle, throwing knife, handgun, ect. my hand and eye coordnitation is pretty good. did some comp shooting when i was younger, expert marksman in the military 39/40 with the 16 expert grenade, expert 50 cal. and i love to shoot! the only thing is im never allowed to own a gun again... SO slingshot it is.... But of course if i needed a turkey a shotgun would make things easier in some case :)

Great folks at that store.
It is probably a good thing I knew nothing about the show. There wouldn't have been enough money left for me to get home.:D
Next time I am down there and have some time I will p.m. you.
Maybe we could meet up for a beer somewhere.:thumbup:
